Fever

Yesterday I signed up for ping.fm ~ so far I have it linked to this account, twitter, tumblr, myspace, vox and livejournal.  However it doesn’t seem to be pinging livejournal and myspace.  I don’t know what’s up with that.  I don’t know how much I’ll use it, but I’ll try to remember to … we’ll see, yes?

A few days ago Reb started getting sick.  She has a fever and a myriad of other icky symptoms.  Spoke with a nurse from our health plan yesterday and they think it’s probable she may have the dreaded bacon’s revenge.  They recommended she go to Dr, which she hasn’t because, even though she has insurance, she doesn’t have a regular doctor and doesn’t want to sit around in the emergency room for eight hours.

Today I woke up with a fever too, of course.  However, I do have a Doctor so hopefully if things get worse it won’t be too hard to get seen.

Frustratingly … my parents are scheduled to arrive in less than a week.  Which means a) getting ready for them has screeched to a grinding halt and b) I’m very concerned about giving them whatever we may have, pig fever or not.

Every few months I am fortunate enough to stumble upon a new and interesting musical artist.  Never when I’m looking for it though, isn’t that just the way?  Anyway … my new aural muse is Fever Ray.  She’s so … for a lack of a better word … unusual.  She speaks to my youth, my heart, my memories, my dreams.
