Beauty in Everything

I have been  … quite sick these past few days.  Primarily fever and digestion issues, oh yes and the very annoying symptom of not being able to breath.  I finally called in this morning for a Doctor’s appointment.  I loathe going to the Doctor.  Because, generally when I go they pack me off to the emergency room, where I then wait around for hours being repeatedly poked and jabbed, and then sent home with often nothing more than a big bill, and a sense of violation.

But, this breathing thing is really becoming a pain.  I started downing cough drops and cough syrup last night to help with it, which it does, but not enough.

I am trying very very very hard not to be paranoid but my mind does wander ….

Do you know that during the Plague doctors wore masks that looked like this?

The beak was filled with a concoction of protective herbs, including garlic.

I think it’s quite lovely.
